Inside the Posh Pink Shea Sisterhood Warehouse
Your Tribe, Their Tribe, Our Tribe
Things we know for sure:
We love shea butter.
Shea butter is a luxurious ingredient in over 40 Posh products.
We help over 600 women in Gizaa-Gundaa, Ghana, by buying sustainably sourced shea butter from them.
Perfectly Posh is more than just pampering products; we believe in the importance of empowering people by giving them a moment to catch their breath and make their lives easier, whether it be here in the USA or as far away as Africa! Thanks to our customers’ support of shea butter and the Shea Sisterhood Co-Op through purchases of Always Ghana Love You™ Shea Butter Bath Bar, Giant Healer™ Skin Stick, and our Tribe Vibe™ Traditional African Black Soap, we’re able to give back to the community of African women who provide our shea butter. Here’s a peek at what we’ve been up to:
In mid-March, our friends at the Global Shea Alliance (GSA) completed a soft opening of a Posh pink Shea Sisterhood warehouse and processing center.
There was dancing, celebrating, and an appearance by the U.S. Ambassador to Ghana, Stephanie Sullivan, as the ribbon was cut and the center officially opened for the 2019 shea season.
Over 600 women will utilize this space for their work this year and the years to come, effectively quadrupling their income each season.
Our warehouse opening is only the beginning, and we need your help to continue supporting these women and their families. Using and sharing Posh products made with shea butter is a great start; 90% of Posh shea products are made with sustainable shea butter, and the more demand there is for sustainably sourced ingredients, the more change we can bring. With your continued purchases of Always Ghana Love You, Giant Healer, and Tribe Vibe, we can continue working directly with our Shea Sisterhood on additional projects to support them and their families.
