5 Sips and Pampering Tips for Cinco de Mayo

CincodeMayo1.jpg

Although the first day of summer is over a month away, there’s something about a margarita on Cinco de Mayo that signifies sunnier days ahead. Plus, the holiday falls on a weekend this year, which means extra time to pamper and indulge. So grab a martini shaker or plug in the blender, here are 5 of our favorite margarita recipes (including a non-alcoholic version) to try, plus fruit-filled product pairings we love.

Oh, and if you’ve been relying on that bright green bottle of margarita mix from the grocery store, STOP IT! Making your own is sooo easy:

Homemade Sour Mix

Ingredients:

1 C. sugar

1 C. hot water

⅔ C. fresh lime juice

⅔ C. fresh lemon juice

Directions:

Pour sugar into hot water and stir until dissolved. Add lime and lemon juices, stir, and cool in the refrigerator before using. Sour mix will keep in an airtight container, chilled, for 2 weeks.

OK, now that you’ve got your sour mix, you can use it in any of these refreshing recipes:
